Copy The Video Tour To A CD


The Video Tour is one of SiteSell's highest converting PREsellers to date, so your goal should be to get as many eyeballs to view it as possible!

While it may be tempting to focus your promotion efforts online, don't neglect simple offline ideas such as copying the video to a CD!

Pass it out to friends and family or give it away at seminar or workshop.  CDs are easy to create and convenient for anyone to watch. 

Here's another advantage...

The people you give the CDs to may also make copies for their friends and family, and the cycle continues. So the viral effect begins to kick in!

But wait...

I know what you're thinking...

"How will my audience access my RR URL from the CD?"

Great question!

Of course, since you are copying the file to a CD, your RR URL will not be accessible to the viewer.  There are two ways you can approach this...

1) If you happen to be present when the person views the CD, take their order using the Remote Entry Order Form.

Or...

2) Create an HTML "ReadFirst" file (call it ReadFirst.html, for example) that provides links to your favorite RR URLs from The SiteSell Promotion Center.

Here's another idea...

If you own SBI!, create a short background story telling how SBI! has impacted your life and close with a link to a high-converting RR URL like The Video Tour or the Case Studies site.  Or keep the video theme going and show off some of the "I Love SBI!" videos!

Include this story as part of your ReadFirst.html file or create a separate file that highlights your success with SBI!.

Steps to Creating The CD

When you're ready to create your CD, follow these simple steps...

PC Users...

1) Go to http://videotour.sitesell.com to access the Tour's home page.

2) At the very top of the video, click the text that says...

On dial-up? Click here to download Video Tour (45MB)

3) When prompted, save the file to your computer.  This will download the Tour's main .exe file.

4) Run the file yourself to familiarize yourself with how the setup and installation works.  This will help you write download and installation instructions for your "ReadFirst.html" file.

5) Now use your favorite program to burn the .exe file to a CD.

6) Distribute the Video Tour CD and watch your commissions build!

Macintosh Users...

1) Go to http://videotour.sitesell.com to access the Tour's home page.

2) At the very top of the video, click the text that says...

On dial-up? Click here to download Video Tour (45MB)

3) When prompted, save the file to your computer.  This will download the Tour's main .exe file.

4) The .exe fill will not "run" on a Macintosh. Convert the .exe into it's components using a utility program like StuffIt. It will create 3 parts...

  • sbi-video-tour.html file - open this file in your browser and the Video Tour will run
  • ReadMeFirst.txt - this file explains how to run the Video Tour
  • Video Tour folder - this folder contains files that the Video Tour needs to run. You do not need to do anything with these files and they should not be moved or deleted.

5) Open the HTML file in your browser to familiarize yourself with how it works.  Create a "ReadMeFirst.html" file. Explain the process for using the Video Tour. Be sure to add some hyperlinks with your RR URL to make sure the sale is tracked to you. You can even tell a PREselling story about your experience with SBI! or why you are recommending it.

6) Now use your favorite CD utility program to burn the .exe file to a CD.

7) Distribute the Video Tour CD and watch your commissions build!
