The 5 Pillar Marketing Guide

Using The SiteSell Landing Pages

A "landing page" is a page on our site where you can send your visitors. It can be our home page (www.sitesell.com) or a page that is focused on a particular benefit or feature of Site Build It! (http://passion.sitesell.com). It can also be a page that addresses a specific niche or target market (http://wahm.sitesell.com). We have over 65 different landing pages that you can choose for your SBI! promotions. Click here to see an alphabetical listing of all our landing pages.

You'll be adding these landing page links within your SBI! promotional page. On that page you'll introduce Site Build It! to your visitors, PREsell them on the benefits of SBI! and then send them along to SiteSell where we finish the sales process. Don't rehash what they will learn when they get to SiteSell but use your own words and style. This will create more credibility for you and for SiteSell. To learn more about PREselling click here.

The reasoning behind sending your visitors to a special landing page, or "deep linking" as it is often called, is a very simple one... give your visitors what they want. Testing has shown that this leads to a higher conversion rate. The closer you can send prospects to the Order Page the fewer steps they will need to take in the sales process. Sending them to a generic home page will mean they have to begin at the beginning which may mean you will lose them. Better to start where they are now... from the conversation already going on inside their heads.

For example, if your visitors have an interest in "retirement," a page in that context will be more likely to engage them, connect emotionally, and convince them that you understand their needs. This creates more credibility for you and SiteSell.

That's why we have http://retire.sitesell.com/. That page talks specifically to people interested in retirement and about the issues they face... boredom, lack of money, still wanting to "do something" and the desire to retire "to something better." The page focuses on showing how SBI! can be a solution to their particular "retirement" problems. It meets the simple goal of connecting with your visitors where they are now.

Selecting The Right Landing Page

So how do you know which of our landing pages is right for your visitors and how do you find out "where your visitors are now"?

  • Know Your Traffic
It all comes down to understanding your visitors and where they are in the PREselling Cycle. Analyze your visitor stats for your SBI! presentation page using Google Analytics or another stat management solution until you know what they care about, which pages are viewed most often and which links they like the most. Try various combinations of landing pages until you know which ones convert best. Track It! will help you track your links to the sale. To learn more about Track It! read this article.

  • Is Your Traffic "Online Marketing" Related?
If your site or PPC traffic is about hosting, affiliate marketing, retirement, working from home, work-at-home-moms, or any of the subjects in our existing landing pages the choice is pretty simple. Just go to our Promotion Center and find the link that works best for your visitors.

  • If Your Traffic Is Not Related To "Online Marketing"...
If your site and traffic is focused on a less "targeted" niche then the choice might not be so obvious. You can always select landing pages based on the universal needs most of your visitors share. Wanting to work from home, quiting the day job, or wanting a new life are dreams shared by just about everyone. Create content that connects with those needs and you can start your visitor down the path to the Order Page.
