The Retiree Market
Anyone is a potential SBI! prospect but retirees are almost the perfect folks for SBI!. They have, for example...
- a wealth of knowledge and skills, gained from life experience
- time and/or the desire to learn a new skill or hobby
- either disposable income, or are looking for ways to supplement their income
The swelling retiree market (as baby boomers move into this life stage) is largely untapped. Reach out to them and let them know about SBI!.
The message about SBI!'s potential to change the lives of this group is loud and clear at...

Its content will change how your audience sees retirement.
So what's the best way to get the most out of this site?
Reach Retirees... Offline
Retirees are everywhere. But which ones are ready to build an online business? While it may be automatic for you to look for online ways to promote, there may be prospects closer than you think. As always, start with the low-hanging fruit!
- Your Family
Maybe you have a mom, or dad (or both) who have entered retirement, or who are looking to retire soon. Perhaps you've mentioned Site Build It! to them before, but now you can put a retirement spin
Make sure they watch Claude Jollet's video. While many retirees think that creating a business online is only for the younger crowd, Claude's video clearly proves otherwise. Mature generations are experiencing success with SBI! as well.
- Local Organizations
Do you know of any senior communities in your area? Or towns with continuing education or recreation classes for seniors? There are also the known spots where seniors congregate -- churches, golf courses, bingo halls, senior clubs. Introduce yourself to the person in charge and get permission to present an informal SBI! presentation.
Use Claude's video as an opener. Being able to show your prospective customers that one of their peers is succeeding with SBI! speaks volumes.
A review checklist/handout (which includes your RR URL) is an effective reminder of the presentation, and it makes it easy for people to follow up with you.
Don't forget to use Name Park It! if space on the page is an issue!
- Computer Classes
Offer to teach an SBI! course. (See this thread in the 5P Forums for full details.)
Semi-retired Lee LeFaivre is already implementing this strategy. He lives in a very large over-55 community in Florida. He plans to offer a "how to create an online business" class to interested residents. Lee is using the class curriculum and materials prepared by SiteSell Education.
Those classes will not only teach how to use SBI! but the fee will include a subscription to SBI!. This means that Lee gets the commissions and all of the training fees. That could amount to $275 per student in your pocket (or whatever you want to charge).
- Newsletters For Seniors Or By Seniors
Many senior organizations have newsletters that are always looking for more content. Jump in and write an article for them. It can be about starting an online business, or building a Web site, or how to make extra money with your computer. Be sure to let them know "what's in it for them."
- Flyers/Posters/Ads
Create flyers and brochures. Hand them out or post them where senior eyeballs will see them. Feature your retire.sitesell.com RR URL prominently.
- Informal, One-On-One Contact
Strike up conversations with seniors at the coffee shop, in the bank line, on the bus, etc. Find out about their interests and past experiences. Work SBI! into the conversation in the appropriate spots. You can also talk to them about where they go to meet other seniors and what they do for fun. You'll have a long list of prospects and senior groups before long.
- Additional Offline Tips
Speak with passion about your SBI! experience and how it can change lives. People love to hear a good personal testimonial if they can see what's in it for them.
Take advantage of the resources in the Offline Sales Kit. And
remember to use the Remote Order Page when you close the deal.
Reach Retirees... Online
More and more seniors are going online. They've got the time to do it and many senior groups and town recreation departments offer computer classes for seniors. They are learning to surf and to use the search engines to find things they want.
- Sig File
Add your retire.sitesell.com RR URL in your sig file. What a quick and easy way to let friends, relatives and colleagues know about the site.
- Retirement Forums
Are you a retiree or getting ready to become one? Search and join retirement-related discussion forums and add your retire RR URL to your sig file (check the forum rules, of course).
As you give advice and chat with fellow retirees, you can subtly PREsell SBI! with a simple one or two-line sig file. The more active and helpful you become, the greater the credibility you'll build over time.
What's the best way to find these forums? Use Search It!...
- Select "Forums/Discussions/Groups" from "Step 1".
- Try all three search types in "Step 2".
- Enter retirement-related keywords and click Search It!.
|
Do not spam the forums by blatantly promoting Site Build It!. Your posts should be relevant to the discussions. And if only affiliate links are allowed in your sig file, make sure you abide by the rules.

You can also contribute information and advice by participating at Yahoo! Answers.
- Google AdWords
Unless your site is for seniors or has something that seniors might be searching for then retirees may not come to you. You may have to go find them. And the best way to put yourself in the click path of seniors is through Google AdWords.
AdWords is a powerful way to find seniors but using it can be challenging. You must make sure you don't try to compete with the big players in the niche or you can spend money quickly. Don't expect to be successful with the most common keywords like "retirement" or "seniors." You must dig deeper.
Use the Google Keyword Tool or even better, if you are an SBIer use the Lateral Brainstorming tool to generate keyword demand for keywords related to the keyword, "retirement." You'll find interesting niche words with REAL potential and at a cheap price.
One of the keys to AdWords success is to get creative and go where others are NOT going. Not only will you pay less per click, but your profit margins will be higher when you find a combination that... clicks! (No pun intended. ;-) )
Here are three steps to get you started...
Step #1 -- Review Andrew Goodman's tips by clicking here.
Step #2 -- Find less-competitive keyword phrases (keep costs down and maximize your ROI).
Step #3 -- Test, test and test some more until you come up with ads for niches that bring in a profit. When you keep the best and drop the rest...
You'll be left with campaigns that turn $1 into $2. Just keep doing them, over and over again.
But remember...
Play the niches.
Google AdWords is only for the skilled, and for those who can afford to lose some money while they find the best approaches.
A Final Promotional Tip
Don't forget younger retiree wannabes too...
There are people in their 30's and 40's who have set goals to retire at an early age. Not only will Site Build It! allow them to retire early, but they'll have more fun-money to play with! Now that's a retirement to something special.
Everyone has the dream of being able to retire at a younger age, but most don't believe they really will. Retire.sitesell.com illustrates how that dream can become a reality.
In Conclusion
The growing retiree market is where you will find ideal prospects for Site Build It!. Seniors want to retire to fun, active, and rewarding experiences. Send your audience to retire.sitesell.com through your RR URL or via your offline marketing efforts.
Even better, if you've got the itch to teach, you can make sure they will be successful by offering them classes in online marketing using SBI!. (And make some money while you do it!) Check out SiteSell Education for more information.
